About AVM
The Alpine Verification Meeting (AVM) is an informal, annual workshop series dedicated to formal verification. It brings together researchers including PhD students primarily from the Alpine region and surrounding countries to discuss current challenges and advances in the field.
Call for Participation
We invite researchers working in formal verification and related areas to participate in AVM'26. If you would like to give a talk, please submit a tentative title and abstract using the abstract form.
Program
The exact program is TBA, but AVM'26 will include invited and contributed talks, coffee breaks, great lunches, and plenty of time for informal discussion.

Social program
A multi-course wine dinner will be held in the venue's wine cellar on Wednesday evening, where among others, the famous Hungarian Bikavér will be served, alongside traditional Hungarian dishes. The dinner is included in the registration fee. Depending on number of participants and available time, we may also organize a hike or a guided tour in the medieval town of Eger and its castle.
Venue
AVM'26 will be held at Hotel Korona in Eger, Hungary, a charming baroque city known for its historic castle, thermal baths, excellent wine region, and Bikavér. Located in the foothills of the Bükk Mountains in lieu of proper Alps, Eger offers a perfect venue for AVM'26.

Train from Budapest-Keleti
Eger is mostly walkable.
Getting to Eger by train
- From Budapest city centre: take metro M2 or M4 to Budapest-Keleti, then a direct train to Eger.
- From Budapest Airport: take the 100E Airport Express to Deák Ferenc tér, then metro M2 to Budapest-Keleti and continue by train.
- Trains to Eger usually take about two hours; check times and buy tickets at MÁV.
- For local travel in Budapest, BudapestGO is useful for planning and tickets; Google Maps also has up-to-date public transport information.
Registration
Registration is open until 31 August 2026. Registration deadline extended until Sunday, 6 September 2026 (AoE).
- First person from each affiliation creates it during pre-registration.
- Others select the affiliation, then log in to complete registration.
Includes coffee breaks, lunches, and Wednesday dinner.
